American Queen Voyages offer one of the most popular lineups of cruises on the Great Lakes. Each day aboard your American Queen voyage is filled with activities, from educational lectures to perfectly planned excursions that invite you to explore the world of the Great Lakes.

Enrichment
Local experts, specializing in history and nature, are invited aboard to share their experience and knowledge of North America with you. Each ensures an immersive education that allows you to develop a deeper understanding of the magnificent history and environment that you'll be exploring.

In addition, the ship's tour manager will detail the next day's excursions every night, to make sure you're well equipped and have a scheduled time slot for your excursion.

Excursions
With American Queen cruises, you'll have plenty of time at each port of call for excursions and any other activities you can muster up. On these days, you'll always have at least one excursion included with your fare. Many of these are American Queen's Hop-On-Hop-Off adventures, where you'll be given a headset and invited aboard a motorcoach to be guided by a knowledgeable local guide. After each excursion, you'll have the opportunity to explore your surroundings before returning to the Ocean Voyager or Ocean Navigator.

American Queen's open-plan eatery, The Coastal Dining Room serves three meals per day in a classical, luxurious space aboard the Ocean Voyager and Ocean Navigator. Prepared by a chef and his team of trained culinary experts, local delicacies like Michigan Shrimp Tempura, Marinated Broiled Lobster, Barolo Braised Lamb Shank, and Ginger Crème Brulee await.

The Grill
At The Grill, find something for everyone. This venue features a buffet-style menu, including favorites like prime rib and freshly caught haddock. With countless sides, salads, and even breads and cheeses, The Grill is a modern eatery overlooking the water, providing great views and food.

The Tavern
From late afternoon to late night, The Tavern is the ship's classic cocktail lounge. The perfect place to gather and share stories of the day with good friends and fellow cruisers, The Tavern also serves wine, beer, coffee, tea, and other beverages.

The Compass Lounge
The lively Compass Lounge is where you'll want to head for lectures, movies, music, dancing, and more with American Queen cruises. Complete with cocktail tables and bench seating around the walls, the lounge is beautifully decorated with crystal chandeliers and faux-tin ceilings.
