The mansion was built in 1910 by one of Milwaukee’s prominent business leaders, George Brumder. He had the home constructed for his oldest son to live in. The home is designed in an English Arts & Crafts style that has Victorian and Gothic Arts & Crafts elements.
The mansion offers 6 suites, each include a gas fireplace and whirlpool spa making it a fantastic option for honeymooners or any type of romantic rendezvous. In fact, the Brumder Mansion bed & breakfast was named “One of Ten Romantic Inns the the Country” by “I Love Inns”. The first suite is the Georges Suite, named after the master of the house, George Brumder. This 3 room suite is furnished mostly with antiques like a marble topped dresser and table, ornamental fireplace, settee and chairs. The next suite is Marion’s Suite which is newly furnished and showcases beautiful marble and tile that were imported from England. Next is Gyneth’s Suite, with its faux painted decor in exotic reds and bright yellows. The last suite is The Emma Room, also painted in a faux style with light and airy colors with the bathroom decorated in exquisite tile and marble.
In additional to their beautiful rooms, you can also take advantage of a “massage in your room” as well.
