In 1910, Frederick Nelis asked his son who was 17 at the time to come to America in search of some rich farm land. World War I was just ending and things in Europe were flat. So they came to America and began to grow vegetables. |
After several years of slow starts, they decided to move to Chicago, then Holland and that was the golden ticket for them. They became a hotspot for tourists traveling to the area. The Dutch Village would love to have you visit today!
