The Raindancer Restaurant in Amsterdam, New York has been opened since 1980.  Walter and Doreen Porath opened up this family run business and its has grown profoundly over the years.  They sought to offer the community something better than just another ordinary restaurant.  They were creative, always kept things fresh, used quality ingredients, and made sure to serve ample portions.  They renovated the restaurant from time to time to keep with a current and comfortable ambiance.  Because of their commitment to keep things above the rest, they've become the best and have remained as one of the top dining choices in the area.

​The Raindancer Restaurant offers menus for various types of occasions.  Whether you want to have a romantic dinner, a casual dining experience, takeout, party platters, or just enjoy a quiet dinner, they are the place to go. 

The offer several dining rooms which help to make any special occasion a really extra special event.  They are able to accommodate events such as bridal and baby showers, rehearsal dinners, bereavement luncheons, receptions, company business meetings or parties..  They will even create a custom menu for your special event.  

We are open year-round with the exceptions of Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Memorial Day. For all other holidays, we offer dinner features such as a traditional Thanksgiving dinner or a Mother’s Day or Easter dinner for your family.
