Tadoussac Hotel - Tadoussac, Quebec

Tadoussac Hotel

TADOUSSAC, QUEBEC

When cruising the Great Lakes,  the village of Tadoussac is an amazing  place to discover when cruising to or from Quebec, Canada.

Tadoussac is known for being a community rich in whale watching and the migration of raptors.  It seems only natural that the Tadoussac Hotel be positioned right overlooking the bay makes for the there in this perfect spot so as to experience those favored past times.
The history of Tadoussac:  The area where the Saguenay Fjord and the St. Lawrence meet, is recognized as one of the oldest sites in North America where people would meet up to trade.  Many artifacts that support this date back more than 8,000 years ago.  This Amerindian way a life was the norm back in the day with stories of explorers ready to make rich discoveries.  The town has a rich heritage in fur trade, fishing, and logging which blossomed in the 1500-1600’s.  By 1900, Tadoussac gave birth to tourism as it was the prime spot for wealthy summer vacationers.

Today, the village is still a popular internationally known vacation spot known mostly for its numerous natural attractions.  Tadoussac got its name from the Montagnais language meaning “nipples” because of its location to the two hills that surround the village.

The Tadoussac Hotel was built in 1865 so for more than 150 years, folks have been coming here to stay.  The quaint scarlet and white hotel with its domed shaped roof is the perfect fusion of hospitality, nature, and history.  It is a very chic all wood building with multiple skylights that make it a stunning facility.

The hotels stunning architecture and plush furnishings are something right out of the history books.  A large number of their rooms offer a magnificent view of the bay of Tadoussac.  AAA gives this hotel a 4 diamond rating and we think you will too!  The hotel offers a heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis, shopping, restaurants, free parking, wellness spa, and high speed wi-fi.  Their restaurants offer varied menus bursting local flavors.  Check out Le Coverdale, Le Coquart, and Le William menus available for preview on their website noted below.

Be sure to take your camera because the view of the hotel and the little red and white chapel by the bay are something postcards are made of.  Learn more about Great Lakes Tours and Attractions and cruising Tadoussac, Quebec with Great Lakes Cruises.
