The elevator takes only 40 seconds to reach the first of 3 observation decks. The view of 1000 Islands and the St. Lawrence River are truly amazing and. You’ll enjoy the panoramic view that stretches 130 meters out and 400’ below. There is always a tour guide available on the first level of the tower to give you details or answer any questions you may have. Guests of the tower can also venture to the very top of the tower at the Skydeck Cafe and enjoy the awesome Ice Cream Shop.
The tower host several special events in the course of a year. The have the annual 4th of July Fireworks over Boldt Castle. They do a fantastic Sunset evening photoshoot for photography enthusiasts. The Christmas from the Tower event offers excellent views as well. There is also a Dinner with a View event that takes place in June and July that includes a wonderful 3 course meal including appetizers, featured protein fondue and dessert as you watch the sun set over Ivy Lea. You can even rent the tower for your special event like birthday parties, wedding, or company meetings.
Make sure you find time to browse through their unique gift shop with a great selection of T-shirts, Maple Syrup products, and Canadian Gift items and souvenirs. They have a large selection of plush toys like Chipmunks, Huskies, Beavers and Skunks! They also promote local business in the sell of soaps, chocolates, salad dressings and more. The 1000 Islands Tower is located on Hill Island in Ontario, Canada. From the Canadian side you will take Exit 661 of Highway 401 onto Highway 137 South. Go through the toll booth and you will see the tower on the left hand side. You won’t need a passport if coming from the Canadian side. From the U.S. side you will take I-81 to Canada and just past customs you will see the tower on the right side of Highway 137. You will need a passport to cross the border going into Canada.
