Day 1 - Hotel Stay Port of Chicago (or Reverse/Toronto) Included in Cruise Fare
Arrive the day prior to your cruise and enjoy a complimentary stay at the pre-cruise hotel. The evening allows time to become acquainted with the city. For your convenience, our Hospitality Desk will be located in the hotel, and our friendly staff can assist with everything from general questions about the upcoming voyage to reservation of premium experiences. Representatives will be available to provide suggestions for dining, entertainment and sightseeing options to maximize your time here.
Day 2 - Embarkation in Chicago, Illinois
Situated at the mouth of the Chicago River, on the southern coast of Lake Michigan, Chicago is a city of art, music, and industry. After breakfast, disembark and choose your adventure in Chi town. Visit the Michigan Mile or get to know the city's rich architectural history with a river boat tour. With shopping, museums, dining, music and theater, there's something for every taste in this iconic American city.

Day 3 - Scenic Sailing of Lake Michigan
Lake Michigan is the third largest of the Great Lakes, and the only lake that does not share a border with Canada. Its shoreline has one of the largest collections of freshwater sand dunes in the world. Though culturally they are treated as separate lakes, Lake Michigan and Lake Huron actually form one continuous body of water, connected by the wide Straights of Mackinac. |
Day 4 - Mackinac Island, Michigan

Docking at Mackinac Island, Michigan, we'll tour the island in horse-drawn carriages. After a visit to Fort Mackinac--the site of battles in both the American Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, we'll head to the famous Grand Hotel to partake of their truly grand lunch buffet. After a free afternoon of shopping and sightseeing, the Grand Hotel's historian will join us for an onboard cocktail hour to share Grand Hotel's best kept secrets.
Today's Inclusive Shore Excursion - Mackinac Island Tour Enjoy a charming tour through the island with a narrated tour via horse drawn tour carriage. Guests will begin with a ride to Fort Mackinac. Here, guests will be greeted by Michigan State Park Representative Haley before enjoying an educational tour including a cannon and rifle firing. A highlight of the day will be a stop at The Grand Hotel were guests will enjoy the historic hotel and coastal resort. |
Day 5 - Sault Ste Marie, Michigan Scenic Sailing of Lake Superior
The "Soo" locks allow ships to bypass the rapids of St. Mary's River connecting Lake Superior and Lake Huron. We'll navigate the Soo locks for scenic sailing of Lake Superior, then have the option of visiting Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.

Day 6 - Little Current, Manitoulin Island, Ontario
Manitoulin Island is the largest freshwater island in the world and Little Current is home to a rich history of first nation cultures and nautical exploration.

Day 7 - Scenic Sailing of Lake Huron
Lake Huron is the second largest of the Great Lakes, and the third largest freshwater lake in the world. With over 30,000 islands, it has the most shoreline of any of the Great Lakes. Long settled by Huron-Wyandot and Anishinabeg peoples, it was first visited by French explorers in the early 17th century. French explorer Samuel de Champlain called it la mer douce--“the sweet water sea.” |
Day 8 - Detroit, Michigan
Docking at Detroit, Michigan or across the river at Windsor, Ontario, we'll spend the day in Motor City.

Day 10 - Niagara Falls (Port Colborne), Ontario

Niagara Falls are formed by a great limestone escarpment, jutting up 194 feet at the falls. The Welland Canal was first constructed in 1932 to allow ships to traverse the elevation separating Lake Erie and Lake Ontario--a difference of 326 feet! Once back onboard after the tour you will be able to stroll on deck to watch our descent through the 8 locks of the Welland Canal.
Today's Inclusive Shore Excursion - Hornblower Boat Ride Put on your provided poncho and hop aboard the famous Hornblower catamaran! This exhilarating experience will bring you closer to the falls than you ever imagined.
